We were introduced to two brothers who had just sold a single family home and were exchanging up into this 10 unit apartment building.
The initial challenge was identifying the up-leg property. We had analyzed at least three other properties for the buyers until they finally decided on this one.
Because the buyers were 50/50 on their down-leg sale we had to keep the vesting & structure the same on the up-leg, and because of this we had to package both individuals. We worked through the process with the buyers, agents, and lenders and closed the loan in time.
